Job Title
Equans is recruiting a Joiner to be part of our team in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA
. This is a permanent full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is salary of £32,500 per annum and a benefits package.
Monday to Friday 0800 – 1600. This role includes a Disclosure Scotland Check to PVG Level, therefore ability to pass is essential.
What will you deliver?- Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities as directed by the Fabric Supervisor/Fabric Manager.
- Liaise with the Fabric Supervisor and Fabric Manager to request the supply of goods and/or services when necessary.
- Use cause and effect analysis along with detailed examination techniques to diagnose faults, utilizing all relevant drawings and schematics.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) inspections in line with published procedures.
- Complete all required report sheets, test certificates, and update drawings with any alterations.
- Prepare and complete all Task and Risk Assessment sheets related to assigned work.
- Operate all relevant tools and equipment safely, strictly adhering to Equans Guidelines and Controls (e.g., Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection, Hazardous Substances).
- Maintain an understanding of how other craftsmen’s work relates to and impacts your own tasks.
- Commit to ongoing training to learn new techniques and maintain up‑to‑date skills.
- Fully understand the inter‑relationships between various maintenance crafts.
- Perform any other duties as requested by supervisors or managers.
- Work overtime to perform emergency repairs as required.
- Execute planned and preventative maintenance tasks effectively.
