HGV Technician at TCR

Job Purpose: To carry out repairs and maintenance on TCR and customer vehicles to a high standard, in line with company Health and Safety policies and ISO quality frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain vehicles and plant as directed by the Workshop Supervisor
• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, brake and smoke tests
• Accurately complete job cards and inspection reports using the tablet system
• Identify and report required work, parts, defects and vehicle off-road (VOR) issues
• Ensure correct handling, labelling and storage of parts and tooling
• Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures

Health, Safety and Quality:

• Work safely at all times and report accidents, near misses and hazards
• Use PPE and safety equipment correctly
• Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements

Key Relationships:

• Operations Manager
• Workshop Supervisor
• Technicians and management team
• Customers

Skills And Knowledge:

• Strong mechanical or motor vehicle knowledge
• Good communication, numeracy and diagnostic skills
• Customer-focused and quality-driven
• Understanding of health and safety regulations

Experience:

• Vehicle or plant maintenance environment
• Customer-focused operational role
• Logistics or fleet background (desirable)

Qualifications:

• LGV Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Mechanics
• City & Guilds or BTEC National Certificate
• Forklift licence (desirable)
