Locality Facilities Technician – fixed term for 6 months
Location:
North West Area, Edinburgh.
Salary: £27,257 – £29,850 per annum
Hours:
36 per week (Split shift: week 1 7 am – 3 pm; week 2 1 pm – 9 pm, rotating).
A driving licence is required and a work vehicle will be provided.
Role OverviewAs a Locality Facilities Technician with the City of Edinburgh Council, you will deliver a vital janitorial service across our estate to ensure our properties are safe places to work or learn.
ResponsibilitiesYou will undertake day to day FM, janitorial and DIY operations across one or more buildings, ranging from small repairs and general maintenance to reactive cleaning, supporting moves and conducting basic security functions. Key tasks include:
- Equipment and furniture fitting maintenance
- Building maintenance and services
- Security of premises and grounds
- Grounds maintenance
- Cleaning/tidying
• Driving licence required.
• Must be able to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 scheme or undergo an update check.
• Those who have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
• Successful completion of the pre‑employment checks is required for an unconditional offer of employment and commencement.
