Seasonal Grounds Services Operative – Make a Real Impact in South Lanarkshire!
South Lanarkshire Council is looking for dedicated staff to join our teams, delivering a wide range of services across the district. As part of our committed frontline team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the places where people live, work, and play. From green space maintenance to street cleansing, your work will directly improve the quality of life for thousands of residents.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and improve parks, green spaces, and other public areas.
- Assist with street cleaning and litter removal.
- Support the preparation and execution of community beautification projects.
- Work safely outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Collect waste, monitor litter levels, and report incidents.
- Enthusiastic, reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
- Committed to public service and community wellbeing.
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in environmental services is welcome but not essential.

Location: Various locations within South Lanarkshire (Hamilton/Blantyre, East Kilbride, Clydesdale, Rutherglen/Cambuslang, Strathaven/Larkhall)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £26,622 – £28,609 per year
Contract: Temporary, 6 months
