We're looking for a reliable and practical Part Time Caretaker to help keep our building safe, secure and well maintained. This is a varied, hands‑on role where no two days are the same. From carrying out minor repairs and preparing rooms for meetings to ensuring the building is safe and compliant, you'll play an important part in supporting our organisation and the people who use our facilities.

What you'll be doing- Open and close the building each day and help keep it secure.
- Carry out routine inspections of the building and surrounding grounds.
- Complete minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks.
- Ensure communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming.
- Prepare meeting rooms and activity spaces for staff and visitors.
- Carry out routine health and safety and fire safety checks.
- Report maintenance issues and liaise with contractors when specialist repairs are needed.
- Help maintain stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Keep accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Support a positive experience for everyone who visits our building.
- Has experience in a caretaking, facilities or maintenance role.
- Is confident carrying out practical DIY and minor repairs.
- Understands the importance of health and safety.
- Can work independently and manage their own workload.
- Has good communication and organisational skills.
Is reliable, trustworthy and takes pride in their work. - Enjoys helping others and contributing to a welcoming environment.
Experience of working within the voluntary or community sector, knowledge of COSHH or relevant training such as First Aid, Fire Warden or Manual Handling would be an advantage, but aren't essential.
