Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts seeks a Cleaner for temporary, flexible assignments across the city.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 07:30-15:30, with days chosen by the worker.

Pay is £13.95 hourly, rising to £17.07 at weekends.

Duties include dusting, hoovering, mopping and sanitising surfaces, plus deep cleans. Communal areas, bedrooms and bathrooms must meet high standards. Infection control and health and safety rules apply throughout. The post sits within a care setting, so residents' dignity and privacy require respect, and urgent requests need a prompt response. A PVG check is required. Immediate starts are available.

This role is subject to a PVG check - new applicants £59, update applications £18.

• Carry out general cleaning duties including dusting, hoovering, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
• Ensure all communal areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms are maintained to a high standard
• Deep cleans must be carried out as per requirements
• Follow infection control and health and safety guidelines at all times
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs as required
• Work respectfully within a care environment, maintaining residents' dignity and privacy

• Previous cleaning experience (care or healthcare setting preferred but not essential)
• Flexibility to work on short notice and varying shifts
• Good attention to detail and time management skills
• A caring, respectful, and professional attitude
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards
