Senior Multi-Utility Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Multi-Utility (MU) Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex and high-value electrical, water, and gas connection projects. This senior role requires operational leadership, technical assurance, and strategic oversight across multiple projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to budget, and fully compliant. You will act as the senior point of escalation for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, providing confidence in the delivery of multi-utility projects to the highest standards.
Responsibilitiesof the Senior Project Manager:
- Lead the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of multiple MU projects, ensuring adherence to legislation, standards, and best practice
- Manage, coach, and develop MU Project Managers and Site Supervisors, ensuring consistent team performance and capability
- Oversee project planning, design coordination, procurement, delivery sequencing, and risk management across your portfolio
- Control project scope, budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance, identifying and mitigating risks and variations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, statutory undertakers, local authorities, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Provide senior technical oversight across LV/HV electrical, water, and gas disciplines, including design reviews, commissioning strategies, and complex connection planning
- Lead high-level client meetings, site audits, progress reviews, and walkdowns, representing the organisation professionally
- Support operational planning, resource strategy, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive high standards of SHEQ performance across all projects, including RAMS, permits, audits, and close-out actions
- Contribute to business development through technical input to bids, proposals, and client engagement
- Extensive understanding of MU construction, installation, and commissioning across electrical (LV/HV), water, and gas networks
- Commercial and contractual awareness including cost control, forecasting, and change management
- Experience reviewing and challenging designs, programmes, RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation
- Strong risk management, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
- Competent in MS Office and operational systems, interpreting data and performance metrics
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and industry best practice
