Overview

Senior Project Manager – Edinburgh. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join the team at Galliford Try. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Building Scotland Central division where you will play a pivotal leadership role in delivering high-value multisite construction projects.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Project Manager you will lead successful planning, delivery and completion of major projects ensuring they meet our high standards of quality, safety, profitability and client satisfaction. You will take a proactive leadership approach while managing project teams, subcontractors and client relationships.

  • Plan, coordinate and develop staffing levels to meet current and future workloads.
  • Ensure quality management systems are in place to maintain prescribed standards.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching or corrective actions where required.
  • Lead by example in promoting a strong Health Safety and Sustainability culture.
  • Manage client staff and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend external prestart meetings and establish strong client relationships.
  • Oversee project setup ensuring company systems and procedures are embedded.
  • Monitor project progress and performance addressing issues proactively.
  • Administer the valuation system maximising cash flow and commercial outcomes.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation across the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns fully with employer requirements.
About You

Were looking for an experienced and motivated construction professional with:

  • Substantial experience delivering Design & Build, new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Proven management of multisite projects valued over 30m.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing client relationships, subcontractors and the end-to-end build process.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A relevant qualification such as HNC/ONC (or working towards one).
