RoleAs our Senior Social Value Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert and ambassador for social value across the Consulting business unit. Reporting to the People Director, you’ll lead the design, delivery, and measurement of impactful social value plans. You’ll work closely with internal teams to embed social value into every stage of our operations — from strategy to execution and work collaboratively with other social value professionals across the business to develop innovative solutions and roll out existing programmes.
You will have experience in supporting STEM related activity, ideally you will have worked with educational institutions and young people to engage them with engineering more widely. We will also expect the successful candidate to seek opportunity for wider community engagement in STEM activity along with working collaboratively with our recruitment team on initiatives to support development of talent pipelines.
Responsibilities Include- Designing and delivering social value strategies aligned with local needs and contractual commitments
- Developing, implementing and reporting performance indicators, targets, and reporting frameworks. Experience of utilising the Thrive social value tool would be beneficial.
- Driving innovation in social value initiatives, including funding models and business cases
- Collaborating with third party organisations and charities to achieve social value outcomes
- Supporting work-winning efforts with compelling social value proposals and case studies. Engaging the wider business to support with development of case study material.
- Delivering training and awareness sessions to embed social value across the business unit
- Representing Amey at industry events and contributing to thought leadership
- Organising and promoting Social Impact Days to maximise employee engagement
Monitoring industry trends and benchmarking performance to inform future strategy
- A degree or equivalent experience in social value, sustainability or a related field
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven experience in developing and delivering social value strategies and partnerships
- Good knowledge of the UK Government Social Value Act
- Knowledge of measuring frameworks such as Thirve, TOMs,
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels
- A genuine passion for impact, with a drive to innovate and lead change
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and performance reporting tools
- Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., Institute of Social Value, ICRS, IEMA, CIPD) is desirable
