Location: Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours: 40hrs per week / 5 out of 7 days
Work Pattern: Flexible

We’re seeking a dynamic Staffing & Training Manager to oversee workforce planning and lead the design and delivery of training across our venues, including racecourses, event spaces, cultural attractions, and cafés.
In this role you’ll ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time – and that every member of our team is set up to succeed. From scheduling and onsite staff check‑ins to designing training programmes that close skills gaps and support professional development, you’ll keep our people confident, compliant, and engaged.
You will also lead initiatives that improve employee retention, career growth and customer service standards, making a real impact on both our teams and the experiences we deliver to guests.

What You’ll Do:- Plan and allocate staff across all venues, balancing direct hires, freelancers and agency workers.
- Ensure staffing meets operational, event and budget requirements, managing staffing and training budgets efficiently.
- Own and manage the annual training calendar, ensuring all training aligns with business priorities, compliance and cross‑venue standards.
- Design, deliver and evaluate training programmes for casual and salaried employees, covering operational, compliance and skills‑based learning.
- Ensure all staffing and training activities comply with employment legislation (health & safety, first aid, licensing, training requirements).
- Use workforce data and analytics to monitor training impact and inform decision‑making.
Essential
- Experience in training design, delivery and workforce management.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in assessing skills and delivering training in a practical/event environment.
- Knowledge of HR policy and practice.
- Operational experience in events, hospitality or venues.
- Familiarity with time & attendance systems.
