Hours:

36 per week

Each shift runs 07:30 to 15:45 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 12:30 Friday, with an unpaid 30‑minute break.

• Organise, manage and lead a team of Skilled Road workers, Specialists, Semi‑Skilled and Trainee Road workers, including subcontractors and agency staff.
• Ensure road, footway and other works meet the highest maintenance standards.
• Plan and oversee construction and maintenance services for roads and footways.
• Respond effectively to a wide range of emergency situations, including winter gritting operations.
• Undertake a variety of skilled road works tasks and provide on‑site training and development for trainee team members.

• Vast experience working in a roads environment.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime, including winter maintenance.
