The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in Facilities Management looking for your next challenge?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management provider for an Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial contracts across Edinburgh and the East of Scotland.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing organisation and take responsibility for the operational delivery of multiple Hard FM contracts, leading a team of 16 mobile engineers while ensuring exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction and commercial performance.
One of the standout benefits of this role is the 4-day working week. You'll be contracted to 40 hours per week but only work 32 hours across four days, offering an excellent work-life balance while still receiving a full-time salary.
Candidates with an Air Conditioning / HVAC background are highly desirable.
The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you'll have full responsibility for the operational performance of a portfolio of Hard FM contracts across Edinburgh and the East of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and develop a team of 16 mobile engineers.
* Oversee the day-to-day delivery of multiple Hard FM contracts.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
* Ensure all contractual KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved.
* Manage operational performance, budgets and contract profitability.
* Conduct regular site visits and client review meetings.
* Ensure statutory compliance and Health & Safety standards are maintained.
* Support recruitment, mentoring and development of engineering teams.
* Identify opportunities for contract growth and additional works.
* Produce monthly operational and financial reports for senior management.
About You
Essential
β Previous experience as an Operations Manager within the Facilities Management sector.
β Strong experience managing mobile engineering teams.
β Proven background delivering Hard FM contracts.
β Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and contract performance.
β Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
β Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
β Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
β Air Conditioning / HVAC background.
β Previous experience as an AC Engineer, HVAC Supervisor or Technical Manager.
β F-Gas qualification.
β IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
β Experience managing regional FM contracts.
