We are seeking an Technical Strategy Director in the UK who will work in partnership with the Technical Director on delivering against the UKs mandate in LATC. Execution Lead to serve as the central driver of operational excellence across LATC.
This role will continuously ensure the identification, quantification and prioritisation of delivery value across all UK work streams.
This role will own the overall delivery roadmap, will be able to describe the rationale behind prioritisation decisions and will ensure that the contribution colleagues and teams have is aligned to the goals of LATC and Lenovo.
Key Responsibilities Roadmap Visibility Reporting- Own the accuracy, currency of various distinct work streams occurring in the UK (including Data/Context/Memory for Agents, Infrastructure for training, inference and operations and the LATC evaluation framework implementation)
- Deliver structured, transparent status updates to Lenovo leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, translating complex, multi-team progress into clear and actionable narratives.
- Build and scale reporting infrastructure, including dashboards, weekly business reviews, executive summaries, and Q materials.
- Proactively identify risks, blockers, and timeline deviations, ensuring early visibility and driving timely resolution.
- Act as a core contributor into concurrent AI engagements across SSG, PCSD, MBG, and ISG ensuring LATC can prioritise what is needed today and anticipated demand for future.
- Ensure that work being taken into teams is of sufficient quality and clarity to drive positive outcomes and predictable releases
- Drive alignment and resolution of cross-functional dependencies and escalations across business groups.
- Lead sprint-level execution tracking across internal platform teams, maintaining visibility into progress, dependencies, and delivery risks.
- Manage release cadence and milestone tracking across core platform components, including context management, tool orchestration, inference routing, and observability.
- Optimize execution efficiency by improving development workflows, reducing friction, and ensuring focus on high-impact priorities.
- Maintain a holistic view of LATC’s roadmap, capacity, and commitments, identifying conflicts and trade-offs early.
- Act as Line Manager or Dotted Line manager (along with Technical Director) to ensure that all teams understand the cost of their operation, the value of their impact.
- Work with establishing the Lenovo AI engineering brand across sites in the Edinburgh, London and throughout the UK.
- Own the delivery of Meet-Ups, Tech events and Conferences in alignment with LATC strategy either in attracting talent or engaging with partnerships.
- Own the relationships with a number of Universities and Partnerships, identifying the correct LATC resource to support technical aspects, but driving to ensure delivery completion.
- Act as a core culture Champion for LATC in the UK, continuously demonstrating qualities the improve team morale, enjoyment at work and quality of delivery. As and when required be willing to provide radical candor.
- 10+ years of experience in technical product ownership, engineering operations, or equivalent roles within product-driven technology organizations.
- Proven track record of owning and delivering organization-level execution reporting with high credibility among senior leadership.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise product divisions in matrixed organizations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently in high-stakes environments.
- Experience in AI/ML platform development, agent-based systems, or developer tooling in hybrid client-edge-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks and their application in enterprise-scale product ecosystems.
