Planning Team Leader

We are looking for a Planning Team Leader to help lead the strategic planning of Edinburgh’s health and social care services. This newly established post is within the Strategy division of the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership. The successful candidate will manage a team of planning officers and support the development of high quality strategic plans for transformation, service improvement and service delivery.

You will have previous experience of service planning in a health and social care context, a sound understanding of health and social care policy and legislation, and excellent communication skills. You will be able to use data to develop evidence‑based plans in complex, multi‑functional environments, develop and manage strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and support the service manager for planning with the development and delivery of a strong planning function.

The role is integrated, and successful applicants can choose employment with the City of Edinburgh Council or NHS Lothian.
