Senior Manager, ER&I; Energy, Resources and Industrials), Operations Industry & Domain Solutions

Role Summary

Help diverse organisations in the Energy, Resourcing and Industrials (including Construction) industry to design, build and optimise operational delivery models. Work with clients to develop innovative operating models, drive transformation and deliver sustainable cost savings while leveraging emerging technologies.

• Lead client thinking to identify innovation opportunities and enhance existing operating models.
• Manage Deloitte and client teams to understand organisations and design fit‑for‑purpose Operating Models.
• Develop business cases and deliver sustainable cost savings in collaboration with senior clients.
• Apply a methodical approach to research, guiding teams through large qualitative and quantitative data sets for recommendations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and design transformation roadmaps.
• Assess processes, quantify inefficiencies and design/improve implementations.
• Manage successful teams, work streams and engagements on time and to budget.
• Undertake strategic and operational reviews of entire organisations or functions at various levels.
• Present recommendations in a logical, story‑based format.

• Proven, deep industry knowledge in one or more of:
  Energy & Chemicals, Power/Utilities & Renewables, Mining & Metals, Industrial Products & Construction (incl. Real Estate).
• Experience leading transformation work streams with focus on Energy transition, Infrastructure deployment, Supply chain transformation, Decarbonisation/Net Zero, Regulatory compliance, or Service delivery & pricing.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams or engagements on time and to budget, with initial scoping and commercial components.
• Experience engaging with and managing senior business stakeholders to align and deliver key outcomes.
• Track record of people management and talent development.
• Operational experience in at least one ERI organisation (employee or consultant) demonstrating knowledge of the operating model.
• Previous consulting experience, either independent or in‑house.

• Use of AI/automation to accelerate operational processes.
• Lean Six‑Sigma or equivalent qualification.
• MBA or equivalent qualification.

Based in Edinburgh, London, or Manchester. Hybrid working policy allows flexible work in local office, virtual collaboration spaces, client sites, and remote locations, with face‑to‑face meetings as required.
