Non-Executive Board Director – Governance & Assurance

As an executive agency of His Majesty’s Treasury (HMT), the GIAA plays a vital role in delivering independent assurance, counter fraud investigation services, and advice and insight to government organisations across the UK.

Uniquely positioned within the public sector, the GIAA helps organisations manage risks, strengthen governance, improve performance, and ensure the effective stewardship of public funds. In an increasingly complex and rapidly changing environment, its work has never been more important.

We’re seeking exceptional leaders to join our advisory Board as Non‑Executive Directors from January 2027. This includes opportunities to serve as the new Board Chair and the new Chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee, helping to guide, advise, and challenge the Agency as it continues its important work.

Whether your expertise has been gained in people and culture, finance, business transformation, digital innovation, governance, risk and assurance, or leadership within complex organisations, we’re interested in the perspectives you can bring.

We value individuals who can draw on experience from different sectors and settings and apply that insight thoughtfully and pragmatically to help the Agency navigate opportunities, address challenges, and continue to evolve.
