Vacancy for Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Welcome from the Chair of Trustees

Thank you for your interest in becoming the next Chief Executive Officer of Community Foundation for Calderdale.

This is a significant moment in the life of the Foundation.

After many years of outstanding service, our current CEO has announced his retirement. He leaves behind a strong legacy: an organisation with deep local roots, trusted relationships, a committed staff team, experienced trustees and a proud record of supporting communities across Calderdale.

The task now is to build on that legacy while preparing the Foundation for its next chapter.

We are looking for an exceptional leader who can bring energy, credibility, warmth and ambition to the role. Someone who understands the power of local philanthropy. Someone who can develop trusted relationships with donors, businesses, professional advisers, local partners and community organisations. Someone who can lead strategically, but who is also willing to be hands‑on in a small and purposeful organisation.

This is not a role for someone who wants simply to maintain what already exists. It is a role for someone who can honour the past, understand the present and help shape the future.

The need across Calderdale continues to grow. Local charities and community organisations are doing remarkable work, often under increasing pressure. At the same time, there are people, families, businesses and organisations who want to make a difference, but need the right guidance, confidence and trusted local partner to help them do so.

That is where Community Foundation for Calderdale plays such an important role.

Our next CEO will help connect generosity with need, ambition with action, and resources with lasting local impact.
