Project Manager-Energy

ASA is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a major public sector organisation delivering land-based environmental and commercial initiatives.

We are seeking a commercially minded Project Manager with strong business acumen and a keen interest in renewables, energy infrastructure, and land-based environmental projects. This role involves regular site visits and requires strong stakeholder management skills to successfully deliver a portfolio of business change and digital projects focused on commercial development and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead medium to high-risk projects with a strong commercial and environmental focus
Scope technology solutions and engage with external suppliers and strategic partners
Deliver business improvement and transformation projects in a land-based and renewables environment
Manage and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and governance standards
Travel regularly between office locations and undertake site visits
Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary, self-managing team in a hybrid working setting (up to 2 days per week onsite)

Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex projects at pace
Strong commercial acumen and business-minded approach
Experience or understanding of land-based, renewables, or energy infrastructure projects
Proven track record in business improvement and transformation initiatives
Skilled in supplier and contract management, particularly within public sector frameworks
Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications
Recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ/PPQ, MSP)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to analyse data effectively to support decision-making
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and undertaking regular site visits
