Join Barclays as a Third Party Risk Manager where you will play a key role in managing and monitoring third-party risk and performance, ensuring compliance with Barclays' Third Party Service Provider Policy and Standards. You will drive effective control execution, commercial oversight, relationship management, and risk management to support secure, resilient, and high-performing supplier partnerships.
Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing suppliers in a large, regulated, or controlled environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills at all levels.
- Knowledge of FCA/PRA regulations relating to outsourcing and supplier activity.
- Understanding of supplier commercial contracts.
- Risk, Conduct and Compliance Management.
- Management and execution of the Third Party Service Provider control processes, including oversight of providers and their performance, monitoring of KPIs to guarantee expectations are met.
- Collaboration with various stakeholder groups to produce deliverables that meet procurement needs, policies and standards, mitigate risks and issues, and ensure relationships align to the bank’s needs and business strategy.
- Identification of Third Party Service Providers that provide the right goods and services through market research, capabilities analysis and contract negotiation.
- Identification of industry trends and developments related to Third Party Service Provider management tools and techniques by attending conferences and participating in training.
- Monitoring of Third Party Service Providers’ control operation to meet Barclays Third Party Service Provider Management Standards and contractual obligations, including quality standards, risk mitigation and commercial activity.
- Collaboration with regulatory teams to support global regulatory requests, exams and ongoing activity.
- Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
- Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance relative to objectives and determine reward outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver consistently excellent results.
- Guide team members through structured assignments and identify the need for cross‑functional collaboration to meet required outcomes.
- Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work performed.
- Collaborate with other areas of work to keep pace with business activity and strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information clearly and influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
