On 1 April 2026, NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) became one national organisation, focused on continuity today and a stronger, more connected service for tomorrow.
As part of this transformation, NSS and NES have joined to form a new organisation:
Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long‑term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future. We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services.
ThePost:
Clinical Directorate (CD)
This post is based within the Clinical Directorate, which leads and drives improved health, environmental and financial impact across PSD Scotland through the provision of strategic leadership, professional advice, governance, engagement and involvement.
The Clinical Directorate also provides professional and clinical leadership for medical, nursing, dental, pharmacy and healthcare scientists, a robust strategy for quality management, governance, assurance, risk management, professional development, service improvement, research development and innovation and strategic and change management.
The NHS Scotland Cancer Collaborative (NSCC) is a national team within the Clinical Directorate, working with NHS Boards, clinicians, patients and partner organisations to improve cancer services across Scotland. Through collaboration, service improvement and national programme delivery, we support the implementation of Scotland’s Cancer Strategy and strive to improve outcomes and experiences for people affected by cancer
The Candidate:We're looking for an organised, detail-oriented and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and providing high-quality business support. You'll be confident communicating professionally with a wide range of people, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable using Microsoft Office applications. Previous administrative experience and minute-taking skills would be advantageous, along with a proactive approach, strong organisational abilities, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Locationand Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh
Work pattern - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week (flexibility may be considered).
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK and have entitlement to work in the UK for the post in which you will be employed.
