We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to assist with leading various branches in our Edinburgh Hub.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with optical experience who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, developing people, and driving the success of a busy branch. FBDO qualification is desirable but not essential.

About the Role

As Branch Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and success of the branch. You will lead by example, ensuring exceptional patient care while supporting and developing your team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operation of the branch, including staff, stock and premises.
  • Leading, motivating and developing the team to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Coaching, training and conducting performance reviews to support colleague development.
  • Advising patients on spectacle frames, lenses and contact lens options.
  • Managing the appointment diary to maximise patient experience and operational efficiency.
  • Handling patient enquiries and resolving issues professionally and effectively.
  • Maintaining patient records, NHS documentation and practice administration.
  • Working closely with Head Office teams to ensure professional and clinical standards are maintained.
  • Acting as the main point of contact within the practice and leading by example.
About You

  • Has previous experience working within an optical environment.
  • Has management, supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and patient care.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is organised, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoys developing and supporting others to succeed.
  • Can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
