Head of Governance & Assurance Shared Services

Full‑time 40 hours p/w – with flexibility to support business and operational needs

As our Head of Governance & Assurance
, you’ll lead the strategy, governance and continual improvement of our management systems, ensuring they remain compliant, effective and aligned to business objectives. Working across a diverse, multi-site organisation, you’ll drive assurance, risk management and operational excellence while leading and developing a team of QHSE professionals to deliver meaningful business improvement.

• Leading the strategic development, transformation and continual improvement of the Group Integrated Management System (IMS) and Energy Management System (EnMS).
• Ensuring compliance with ISO standards, legislation and governance requirements while embedding best practice across the organisation.
• Overseeing risk management, audits, non-conformances and corrective actions to drive assurance and sustainable business improvement.
• Partnering with operational and functional leaders to implement practical, scalable management system solutions that support business objectives.
• Using performance data, reporting and management reviews to identify trends, mitigate risk and support informed decision‑making.
• Leading, coaching and developing a team of QHSE Coordinators while supporting organisational change, acquisitions and integration programmes.

• Significant experience developing, implementing and improving Integrated Management Systems within complex, multi‑site organisations.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, together with a Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading audit programmes, assurance activities and continual improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing governance, compliance, risk and performance reporting at a strategic level.
• A track record of successfully influencing senior stakeholders and embedding operational consistency across a business.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into practical business solutions.

• Experience managing ISO‑certified QHSE systems within the facilities management sector.
• Knowledge of ISO 50001 and/or ISO 27001 management systems.
• Experience with Power BI, management system software, Lean, Six Sigma or project management methodologies.
