Soldering Operative

Overview

We're hiring for a Soldering Operative to join an electronics manufacturer based in Droylsden, Tameside.

• £13.09 - £13.59 p/h
• Mon - Fri | 8am - 4:30 (early finish on Fridays)
• 23 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
• Quarterly & yearly bonuses
• Employer pension contribution scheme
• On-site parking
• Christmas shutdown period

• Soldering, crimping, and assembling components using hand tool
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Assembling and wiring optical, electrical, and mechanical units
• Testing, calibrating, and checking product quality
• Handling materials safely and maintaining standards
• Operating computerised assembly and stock systems
• Packing finished products and supporting production as needed
• Following company procedures and Health & Safety regulations

• Previous experience within an assembly role
• Familiar with computer based processes
• GCSE Grade C or above in Maths & English
• A knowledge of mechanical and electronic processes
• NVQ Level 3 or higher (desirable)
