Good multinational industrial engineering group. We specialise in the control and management of steam, electric thermal solutions, peristaltic pumping and associated fluid technologies.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembler Tester to join our dynamic team. The role involves assembling and testing high‑quality peristaltic pump drives and heads within a safety‑first environment, acting as a champion for lean production principles, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of the Pumps Assembly team to produce and assemble high‑quality peristaltic pump drives and heads.
- Manufacture and assemble WMFTS products in compliance with official documentation such as BOMs, G.A. drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures and test specifications.
- Select relevant components and apply internal stock control processes.
- Follow and adhere to rigid work instructions, ensuring all test procedures and results are recorded in line with departmental procedures.
- Report and record any quality issues.
- Ensure Kanban signals are actioned as part of the material replenishment system.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP to prioritise daily workload and satisfy customer demand.
- Prioritise workload to ensure correct replenishment of sub‑assembly stocks aligned with the Kanban system.
- Be flexible and relocate to various product cells in response to business demand.
- Assist with training individuals in new and existing products.
- Self‑manage online training and IT production tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing.
- Adapt to shift rotation if business demands.
- Provide support for end‑of‑line processes.
- Embrace continuous improvement initiatives across the pumps value stream.
- Assist with process validation of new equipment.
- Support 5S activities across the pumps value stream.
- Support process improvement investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- A willingness to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Manufacturing background; experience in medical device manufacturing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with 5S processes.
- A keen eye for detail and a willingness to utilise all available resources to drive process improvement.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing customer demands.
