Systems Engineer
Location: City of Edinburgh
We are seeking 3 experienced Senior Solution Architects to lead critical application and corporate decoupling initiatives during a major divestment.
The role spans both the physical separation of an existing data centre (e.g., cage, rack, network, and shared-service separation between the remaining entity and the divested entity) and the design of the target environment and migration approach to move workloads to a new platform. You will operate in a complex, ambiguous environment, shaping solutions with incomplete precedents, and contribute to refining existing disentanglement playbooks.
Role:- Lead architecture for application and company separation across a diverse estate of ~80 applications, including GBST, Workday, Service Now
- Design data walls, segregation patterns, tenant controls, network segmentation, and identity separation in regulated environments
- Design the physical separation of data centres and develop migration strategies for workloads to new environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and vendors to translate architecture into actionable outcomes
- Produce high-level designs, decoupling patterns, and transition plans
- Contribute to governance and communicate complex concepts clearly
- Expertise in application architecture, data segregation, and SaaS platforms in regulated environmets
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 tenant architecture, Azure AD, network segmentation, and data centre separation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in UK financial services (wealth management, pensions, insurance)
- Familiarity with GBST, Workday, Service Now
- Architecture certifications (TOGAF, Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge of FCA, GDPR, data residency regulations
Long term multi-year contract inside IR35 - Edinburgh x3 days as week non negotiable - Strong market rates
