About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned CNC Turner / Setter / Programmer to work at a modern engineering workshop. The role involves operating CNC lathes, producing high‑precision parts for aerospace, marine and industrial applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, programming, inspecting parts and driving continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and run CNC lathes to produce high‑tolerance components.
  • Edit and create programs using Fanuc controls.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
  • Select tooling, set up work‑holding and proof out first‑off components.
  • Carry out in‑process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
  • Maintain production efficiency and consistent quality.
  • Support continuous improvement in machining processes and set‑up times.
Machinery & Environment
  • Hyundai WIA L600MA
    CNC lathe.
  • Fanuc control systems.
  • Modern, well‑maintained production environment focused on quality output.
About You
  • Strong background in CNC turning/lathe machining is essential.
  • Confident setter/operator capable of working independently.
  • Programming experience desirable but not essential – training available.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of tolerances, materials and machining principles.
  • Proactive, quality‑driven approach with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to develop skills and take ownership of work.
