Production Operator

Our client is an established diagnostics company with expertise in specialist laboratory testing and transfusion medicine. The business innovates solutions to help laboratories improve efficiency, accelerate diagnosis, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes.

The Production Operator is responsible for the manufacture of diagnostic products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), quality standards, and production schedules.

The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled manufacturing team and receive extensive training to develop expertise within a regulated diagnostic manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Activities

• Manufacture products in accordance with approved specifications and production schedules.
• Prepare buffers and reagent solutions to defined formulations and specifications.
• Carry out filtration and filling activities within cleanroom environments.
• Ensure manufacturing activities comply with GMP, SOPs and quality standards.
• Follow Good Documentation Practice (GDP) requirements at all times. Maintain awareness of COSHH requirements, risk assessments and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain manufacturing equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ensure materials, consumables and supplies are available to support manufacturing schedules.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and manufacturing excellence activities.
• Assist with updating procedures and manufacturing documentation where appropriate.

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to work within routine, process-driven environments while maintaining high quality standards.
• Previous experience within a GMP manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics or life sciences environment.
• Experience working in cleanroom environments.
• Scientific qualifications at college or university level. (Candidates should be motivated by science but also understand this is a hands-on manufacturing role.)
