We’re doing exciting things, with our highly specialist team

At Apatura, we develop projects that power clean energy and a thriving digital world — from battery storage to data centres. It’s complex, high-impact work, delivered by a highly capable team who move quickly and care deeply about doing things well.

We’re driven by bold ideas, a strong sense of purpose and a willingness to challenge how things are usually done. As we grow, we’re looking for a creative Marketing Manager to help shape how Apatura shows up — to investors, communities, policymakers and the wider world.

With a growing pipeline of projects and ambitious plans to expand the business, this role offers the chance to play a key part in supporting Apatura’s next stage of growth.

About the role

The Marketing Manager will play a hands‑on role in developing and delivering multi‑channel campaigns that raise awareness, strengthen engagement, and support our growth strategy.

Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Communications, the role will manage activity across campaigns, agencies, and media channels, ensuring every piece of work is on‑brand, on‑message, and aligned with business priorities. The Marketing Manager will also coordinate public and government relations and engagement with activities to support engagement with communities, stakeholders, and policymakers.

What you’ll be doing
  • Plan and deliver integrated multi‑channel marketing campaigns, managing timelines, budgets, and performance reporting.
  • Manage digital channels including SEO, paid media, email, social media, and the company website, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage external agencies and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across development, commercial, and operations.
  • Support public affairs and government relations activity, including community engagement and stakeholder communications.
  • Commission and edit content across written, visual, and video formats, maintaining brand integrity throughout.
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience in a marketing role, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
  • Strong campaign management skills end‑to‑end, with experience across digital and print.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to turn complex topics into clear, engaging content.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with experience measuring and reporting on campaign performance.
  • Experience in public or government relations, either directly or through agency coordination, is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑moving environment.
What we offer
  • Private medical care with Bupa (household included)
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • EV salary sacrifice scheme + cycle‑to‑work scheme
  • 30 days’ annual leave including Bank Holidays to start, increasing with length of service, plus additional leave over the Christmas period
  • Access to free, confidential counselling and other wellbeing resources through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Life assurance scheme at 6× salary
The details
  • Full‑time, permanent role
  • Based in York or Edinburgh

We believe in fostering a workplace where everyone can succeed, regardless of background, gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
