This is a full time, permanent position.

The location of this role is either Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) or Cambridge, inclusive with hybrid working.

To increase the reach and influence of Historic England’s specialist technical knowledge and advice among both specialist audiences within the sector and wider industry and non-technical audiences, including members of the public. As part of the Specialist Services Support Team, you will help turn research and specialist knowledge into published accessible advice, guidance and reports using a variety of media. You will assist in developing more effective ways of communicating with technical and non-technical audiences through, e.g. social media, web content, newsletters, articles, webinars, blogs and events.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Experience of editing and preparing documents and web content for publication
• Experience of producing content for different audiences
• Well organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines
• Ability to work constructively as part of, and with, a range of teams and to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
