We're looking for a proactive and experienced Communications Manager to lead the delivery of public relations activity for Aegon Asset Management UK (AAM UK). This is a varied and highly visible role with two key areas of responsibility. The primary focus of the role is the development and execution of AAM UK's PR and corporate communications strategy, helping to enhance our reputation, support commercial objectives, and strengthen relationships with media, clients and key stakeholders.

In addition, you'll provide support for the internal communications agenda when required, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged and connected to our business strategy and purpose. Working closely with senior leaders, investment teams, marketing colleagues and external agency partners, you'll create compelling content, manage media relations, identify PR opportunities and contribute to communications activity that supports both business growth and colleague engagement.

• Develop and deliver AAM UK's PR and communications strategy, ensuring activity supports corporate objectives and commercial priorities.
• Lead all UK corporate PR activity, managing media relations, press enquiries and relationships with key journalists across national, trade, institutional and broadcast media.
• Partner with senior stakeholders, investment teams and commercial colleagues to identify opportunities and coordinate communications activity across the business.
• Create, edit and distribute high-quality content including press releases, market commentary, thought leadership and corporate announcements.
• Manage the relationship with external PR agencies, ensuring activity is delivered effectively and provides measurable value.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate PR campaigns, events and media engagement initiatives, using insight and analysis to continuously improve outcomes.
• Work closely with Compliance, Legal and Risk teams to ensure all communications meet regulatory requirements and protect Aegon Asset Management's reputation.
• Support the delivery of internal communications activity when required, collaborating with UK, Global and Group Communications teams to engage colleagues and ensure messaging is aligned across the business.

• Proven experience in public relations, corporate communications or marketing within asset management, investments or the wider financial services sector.
• Experience creating and managing investment-related content and communications for external audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with a strong understanding of what makes compelling news and media content.
• A good understanding of financial markets, investment products and the wider industry landscape.
