Advocacy & External Affairs Manager

Overview

This newly created role will lead the SCO’s advocacy and external affairs activity, helping to strengthen the organisation’s profile, influence and relationships with key stakeholders. Working closely with the Evaluation & Impact Manager and colleagues across the organisation, you will help articulate the value and impact of the SCO’s work, developing compelling advocacy initiatives and strategic relationships that strengthen support for the organisation among policymakers, funders, partners and supporters.

Lead the SCO’s advocacy and external affairs activity; develop and implement advocacy initiatives; cultivate strategic relationships with policymakers, funders, partners, and supporters; articulate the value and impact of the SCO’s work.

Experience of advocacy, public affairs, stakeholder engagement or external relations; excellent communication and relationship‑building skills; strategic communicator; ability to translate evidence and insight into clear, persuasive, and influential messages.

Salary: £43,000-£46,000
