Job Description
As a Registered General Nurse working in the prison healthcare system in Currie, you will play a crucial role in delivering healthcare services to inmates. This role provides an excellent opportunity for nurses who are looking for stable and consistent work in a unique healthcare setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a wide range of nursing care to inmates, including assessments, monitoring, treatment, and health education.
Administer and manage medications, as well as ensure proper documentation and compliance with medical protocols.
Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies within the prison, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
Assist in managing chronic conditions among inmates, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
Educate inmates on various health topics, promoting overall well‑being and healthy lifestyles.
Work within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, psychologists, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with healthcare and prison regulations.
Follow all security and safety protocols, ensuring the safety of both staff and inmates.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid license in the United Kingdom.
- A strong commitment to delivering high‑quality care to all patients.
