Registered Adult Nurses - ENT/OPD Pre-Operative Assessment

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with post-registration experience to join our ENT Outpatient Department (OPD) at Lauriston Building. The role focuses on delivering high-quality pre‑operative assessment for patients undergoing elective, urgent and routine major, intermediate and minor surgeries within St John’s Hospital.

Scope of Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive pre‑operative assessments for ENT surgical patients.
  • Participate in General ENT Outpatient clinics, specialised Voice clinics, Neck Lump clinics and Monitoring clinics for chronic disease management.
  • Provide assurance that each patient is medically fit for surgery and manage anaesthetic risks.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest standard of pre‑operative care.
  • Support patient education and discharge planning related to surgery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Attributes
  • Active NMC registration and post-registration nursing experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Employment Details
  • Salary:
    Band 5 Range (pro rata) per annum.
  • Hours:

    Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00.
