Role OverviewThe position is for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who will work predominantly within the Flow Centre, Outpatients and Associated Services. Rotations may include the Emergency Department, RIE, Same‑Day Emergency Service and WGH as part of an acute services redesign of the Urgent Care model.
Responsibilities- Provide autonomous assessment, triage, initial management and ongoing referral for patients in the Redesign of Urgent Care and Access to Urgent Care programmes.
- Work as part of a hybrid clinical team with advanced nurse practitioners, trainee advanced nurse practitioners and clinical nurse advisors.
- Deliver expert professional and clinical assessment and advice in an advanced capacity within agreed protocols.
- Provide specialist education and training programmes for health care professionals and other professional groups.
- Implement and undertake research activities to support evidence‑based practice in the specialist area.
- Current membership/record with the PVG Scheme for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult). Non‑members must apply to Disclosure Scotland and receive satisfactory clearance before commencement.
- Compliance with the legal requirement to demonstrate permission to work in the United Kingdom.
- Relevant criminal records checks as required in accordance with legislative changes from 1 April 2025 (may require a higher level of check for regulated roles).
- Demonstrated experience in advanced nursing practice, including assessment, triage and clinical decision‑making.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and capability to deliver education and training.
- Part‑time position with a salary calculated pro‑rata.
