Practice Nurse

Hours:

16–24 hours per week (negotiable within this range)

Milton Surgery is a friendly and progressive GP Practice with a reputation for innovation and person‑centred care. We are a large, high‑achieving practice, serving around 8,000 patients, based in the Duddingston area within North‑East Edinburgh. We are part of a 5 GP partnership, supported by 2 salaried GPs, 2 practice nurses, 1 HCA and an experienced administrative team. The practice uses Paper Lite and Vision/Docman systems.

• Provide excellent service for patients in a busy, dynamic general practice setting
• Work alongside the nursing team and doctors to deliver high‑quality care
• Develop and improve practice nursing activities and clinical initiatives to enhance service delivery

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
• Registered General Registered Nurse (RGN)
• Competent in all aspects of Practice Nursing, including cervical screening, vaccinations, immunisations, chronic disease management and health promotion
• General practice experience essential
• Desirable: enthusiasm to develop the role and engage in clinical initiatives
