We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly Community Ambulatory Care Day Case (ACDC) Northern Team, delivering specialist treatments and infusions across Torrington and Holsworthy Community Hospitals.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across both Torrington and Holsworthy Community Hospitals and may be required to support other community hospital sites across Northern Devon and occasionally work alongside colleagues at our East Devon sites in Tiverton and Sidmouth.

A full driving licence and access to transport are essential due to the travel requirements of the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurse-led service that brings hospital-based treatments closer to patients' homes, improving their experience while reducing the need for long-distance travel. You will become part of a highly skilled and supportive team, providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a community setting.

Our ACDC service delivers a wide range of specialist treatments and procedures, including:

• Blood transfusions
• Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy
• Iron infusions
• Intravenous antibiotics
• Venesections
• IV magnesium and zoledronic acid treatments
• PICC, Hickman and Portacath care
• Prolactin and routine blood testing

We work closely with a variety of specialist services, including the Seamoor Unit, Acute Hospital at Home (AHAH), Haematology, Rheumatology and Gastroenterology teams, as well as local GP surgeries and the Eden Unit ether, we ensure patients can access specialist treatments closer to home whilst receiving exceptional, individualised care.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate current competence in peripheral venous cannulation and intravenous medication/infusion administration, with recent experience delivering IV therapies in a clinical setting.

As a Staff Nurse within ACDC, you will:

• Deliver specialist day treatments safely and effectively in line with service protocols.
• Assess, support and provide holistic nursing care to patients and their families.
• Develop expertise in a wide range of infusion therapies and specialist procedures.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the service, supporting patient pathways and treatment plans.
