Alva Medical Practice is seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our supportive and progressive team. Based at the foot of the beautiful Ochils, our large and busy practice operates across two sites in Alva and Tullibody
.

We’re looking to recruit up to 36 hours (full time) per week. We are happy to be flexible for the right candidate. Job share will also be considered for the right candidate.

You’ll be part of a well-established nursing team:

• 3 Practice Nurses
• 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (practice-employed)
• 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioner (health board employed)

And collaborate with a wider multidisciplinary team including:

• 8 GP Partners, 1 Management Partner, 4 Salaried GPs, 1 GP Retainer, 4 GP Trainees and 1 Foundation Year doctor
• 2 Primary Care Mental Health Nurses, 1.4 WTE CTAC (phlebotomy), 2 Advanced Practice Physiotherapists
• 3 Primary Care Pharmacists & 2 Pharmacy Technicians
• 2 Operations Managers (in addition to our Management Partner)
• 2 Office Supervisors
• 16 Administrative Staff
• Attached District Nursing & Health Visiting Services

We are a training practice hosting trainee GPs and FY2s.

• Sites: Alva (GP-owned) & Tullibody (Health Board-owned)
• Patient List Size: 13,350
• Clinical Systems: Vision & Docman

• Are on the NMC Register
• Can deliver/are willing to train to deliver Practice Nursing services including chronic disease management, health promotion, and screening
• Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Are committed to lifelong learning and professional development
• A commitment to becoming an independent nurse prescriber (if not already obtained)
• Can work independently and collaboratively within a team

Salary:
Negotiable and dependent on experience - likely within Band 6 Agenda for Change
