To undertake the role of Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Eating Disorder team which forms a hub of clinical expertise for CAMHS in the development of Eating Disorder Services and provides support to out-patient and in-patient teams where direct patient contact is required.
Independently manage the therapeutic and physical care of patients with a confirmed diagnosis of an Eating Disorder, utilising high levels of specialist clinical assessment, formulation, decision making and clinical judgement to formulate an appropriate treatment plan within CAMHS. The post holder will provide specialist advice and support for children, young people and carers through the care pathway from assessment, formulation and diagnosis, through to complex treatment and discharge or transition to adult services.
Provide specialist education, supervision and training programmes for healthcare professionals and other professional groups (for example NES training for management of physical health, clinical supervision for accredited clinicians delivering Family based therapy (FBT), FBT training and clinician supervision for CAMHS clinicians delivering CBT-E).
