Salary – £25,116 per annum (£13.51 per hour)

(or Assistant Greenkeeper – £23,424 per annum, £12.60 per hour)

Hours – Full-time, permanent 35.75 hours per week

Contract – Permanent & seasonal

Location – one of our 6 golf courses, Edinburgh

We are looking for friendly, hands‑on multitaskers to join our team of Green keepers and help us keep our outdoor spaces looking amazing and running smoothly.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, development, and upkeep of sports pitches, outdoor spaces and our 6 golf courses. You will need to take a proactive approach to health and safety to ensure our facilities are fit for purpose. This will include:

• Daily setup of the golf course for play and a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Bunker maintenance, grass cutting, litter picking, and assisting in carrying out maintenance programs, including top dressing and fertilising.
• Organising and controlling work to ensure the efficient use of labour, materials, and machinery.
• Ensuring all equipment and machinery checks are carried out and recorded, and any faults and repairs are reported.

• Experience in safely operating a variety of tools, machinery, and equipment to perform grounds maintenance duties on the golf courses and grounds.
• SCOTVEC, SVQ, City and Guilds level 1, 2 or 3, HNC, HND.
• Previous greenkeeping experience.
• Approachable, adaptable, and helpful personality, with the ability to work both autonomously and within an experienced team.
• (Desirable) Spraying certificates: PA1 & PA6.
• (Desirable) (LANTRA) Certificate of training – Chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting and felling trees.
• (Desirable) Certificate in:
  Safe use of abrasive wheels (PUWER) compliance.

• Greenkeeper/Assistant Greenkeeper – 2 permanent, full-time posts
• Greenkeeper/Assistant Greenkeeper – 5 seasonal, full-time posts (from 23rd of March till 30th of September).
