We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or final-year Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN) to join our friendly and dedicated team at Vets for Pets Corstorphine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped small animal practice where high standards of patient care, teamwork and professional development are at the heart of everything we do.

We are proud to have recently achieved Pain Free Practice certification and have begun our journey towards Fear Free accreditation, reflecting our commitment to patient welfare and stress-free veterinary care. Our team currently consists of:

• 6 Veterinary Surgeons
• 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses
• 1 Student Veterinary Nurse
• 4 Client Care Advisors

The practice is modern and well equipped, featuring:

• Laparoscopic surgical equipment
• Digital radiography and dental radiography
• Ultrasound
• Tonometry
• Multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring
• In-house laboratory equipment

We are passionate about learning and development and actively support continuing professional development (CPD), including certificates. We also take pride in mentoring and training veterinary students and student nurses.

This position is 35 hours per week, including 1 in 3 weekends. We are open to discussing contract hours with the right candidate so please get in touch if you have specific requirements.

• Assist with surgical procedures and anaesthesia monitoring
• Provide high-quality inpatient nursing care
• Support nurse consultations and client communication
• Work closely with the veterinary team to ensure smooth day-to-day practice operations
• Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care
• Contribute to the general running of the practice

For Student Veterinary Nurses, this role offers valuable hands-on experience with structured training and mentorship from experienced RVNs.
