Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon – Buckinghamshire

Part-Time | Small Animal | First Opinion GP | No On-Call | Flexible Working

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, experienced and supportive team at a well-established small animal practice in a peaceful Buckinghamshire location.

This role would suit a vet looking for a great work-life balance, supportive colleagues and access to excellent clinical and referral support, without the requirement for on-call work.

The Role

You will be working an average of around 20 hours per week
, with a working pattern that includes a weekend rota and occasional hospital support.

There is flexibility around how your weekday hours are structured, making this a great opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role that can fit around their lifestyle and commitments.

You will work alongside another experienced Veterinary Surgeon during the week, meaning this is not a sole-charge position
.

There are no on-call requirements

Additional days may also be available for those looking to increase their hours.

About You

We are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who is confident working in a first opinion GP environment and enjoys providing high-quality patient and client care.

You will ideally:

  • Be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Have experience working in small animal practice
  • Be confident conducting consultations and creating evidence-based treatment plans
  • Be comfortable performing routine surgery within your experience and competence
  • Have excellent communication and client care skills
  • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records
  • Recognise when referral is appropriate and make timely referrals when required
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive veterinary team

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this part-time role£45,000 – £72,000 FTE
, depending on experience – so will therefore be pro-rata'd down for part-time hours.

There is scope for further progression within the role, and additional working days can be explored if desired.
