GVC are delighted to be assisting a truly independent veterinary practice in Hertfordshire, who are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their established 3-vet team
.

This is a practice that has been independent for over 25 years
, with a loyal client base, an exceptionally supportive team and a genuine focus on providing the best possible care for patients, without the pressure of heavy targets or KPIs.

• Salary up to £75,000
  , depending on experience
• 4 days per week
• Fixed day off can be considered
• 1 in 4 Saturdays

The practice operates across two sites
.

One is primarily focused on vaccinations and consulting
, while the other is the main clinical hub where surgical and more complex medical cases are seen.

This gives you the opportunity to build a role around the areas of veterinary medicine you genuinely enjoy — whether that’s consulting, surgery, dentistry, medical work or developing particular clinical interests.

You’ll be joining a highly organised and experienced team who understand that a good working day means having time to eat, breathe and do your job properly

The nursing team is made up of many long-standing members who know the practice inside out and provide a huge amount of support to the vets.

There isn’t a culture of pushing numbers or chasing KPIs.
You are trusted to be a vet.

The focus is simple: provide excellent clinical care, build relationships with clients and do the best for every patient that walks through the door.

They are open to vets with different levels of experience, but ideally you’ll be someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and is confident with both first opinion consulting and routine surgery

Most importantly, they’re looking for someone who wants to become part of a practice where they can settle in, develop their interests and genuinely feel supported.

The preferred interview process is to visit the practice and meet the team
