QA Specialist / Manager, Quality Control / Manager
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and continual improvement of Meteor Communications’ Quality Management Systems (QMS). This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working across the business, influencing processes, and driving high standards in both manufacturing and service environments.
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work closely with the Production, Service, and wider business teams to ensure compliance with ISO standards, support audits, manage corrective actions, and embed a strong culture of quality throughout the organisation.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management Systems & Compliance
- Own and manage the company’s Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015.
- Lead external ISO audits, including liaison with auditors and certification bodies.
- Plan and conduct internal audits for ISO 9001:2015 and other standards as required.
- Set up, manage, and maintain compliance platforms such as Achilles UVDB and Construction line.
- Control, issue, and communicate QMS documentation across the business.
- Ensure supplier quality requirements are met, including supplier assessments where required.
Audits, Non‑Conformance & Continuous Improvement
- Manage non‑conforming product and service processes.
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, including reporting and follow‑up.
- Measure quality performance, identify areas of weakness, and recommend and implement improvements.
- Lead ongoing reviews of policies, procedures, and processes to support continual improvement.
- Work closely with Production and Service teams to define, review, and improve processes and procedures.
- Support production teams in embedding quality requirements into day‑to‑day operations.
Health, Safety & Environmental Support
- Maintain and review the COSHH register.
- Support QA and HS‑related compliance activities as required.
- Set up and manage potential future certifications such as ISO 14001.
People, Training & Culture
- Liaise with staff at all levels to promote quality awareness and best practice.
- Provide training, tools, and guidance to enable teams to meet quality standards.
- Manage customer feedback and review processes, ensuring lessons learned are captured and acted upon.
- Proven experience managing an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Strong understanding of audits, non‑conformance management, and corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively across all levels of the business.
- Own transport due to business location and travel to multiple sites as required by the role
- Experience with compliance platforms such as Achilles UVDB or Construction line.
- Exposure to environmental or health & safety standards (e.g. ISO 14001).
- Experience supporting supplier quality and assessments.
- Background in manufacturing or service environments.
You will be a proactive self‑starter with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset. Comfortable working autonomously, you will also enjoy collaborating with others to improve processes and embed quality as a shared responsibility across the business.
You will be detail‑oriented, organised, and confident challenging existing ways of working where improvements can be made.

£35‑£42k dependent on experience (pro‑rata for part‑time candidates)
