The HSEQ Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring and continual improvement of the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems across energy sector operations, including onshore industrial facilities, COMAH sites, offshore installations, accommodation facilities, catering operations, facilities management services and associated subcontractor activities.

The role provides professional HSEQ advice and assurance to operational management teams, employees, subcontractors and clients to ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, statutory obligations and recognised industry standards and procedures

Key Responsibilities
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the Company's HSEQ Management System.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures, client procedures, legislation and contractual requirements.
  • Support risk assessments, COSHH assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work processes.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and environmental events, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Monitor HSEQ performance and KPI reporting.
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, HSEQ briefings, workforce engagement sessions and awareness campaigns.
  • Support emergency preparedness, business continuity and response exercises.
  • Provide HSEQ support during mobilisation, contract transitions and operational change.
  • Review contractor competence, RAMS, training records and HSEQ documentation.
  • Promote behavioural safety, positive intervention programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audits, ISO certification programmes and client assurance activities.
  • Maintain HSEQ records, action trackers, audit schedules and compliance registers.
  • Participate in client governance meetings, safety forums and contract reviews.
  • Monitor environmental performance including waste management, pollution prevention, sustainability initiatives and resource efficiency programmes.
  • Provide guidance on food safety, occupational health, welfare, hygiene and infection prevention controls where applicable.
  • Support achievement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum).
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 H&S qualification (desirable).
  • Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 desirable).
  • Incident Investigation Training.
  • Risk Assessment Training.
  • COSHH Assessor Training.
  • Permit to Work Awareness.
  • Environmental Management Awareness Training.
  • Behavioural Safety / Safety Leadership Training.
  • Manual Handling and DSE Assessor Training (desirable).
  • Food Safety Qualification
Offshore & Energy Sector Certifications
  • For personnel supporting offshore or energy sector operations:
  • Valid Offshore Medical Certificate (OGUK or equivalent).
  • BOSIET / FOET Certification.
  • MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training).
  • Emergency Response Awareness.
  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) as required.
  • COMAH Awareness Training.
  • Energy Industry Contractor Safety Induction Training.
  • Site-Specific Client HSEQ Training and Inductions.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience within a Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality role.
  • Experience supporting energy, industrial, facilities management, offshore, catering or support service operations.
  • Experience carrying out audits, inspections and compliance assessments.
  • Experience investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience supporting ISO-based management systems.
  • Experience working with contractors and subcontractors.
