Job Description

The research team seeks a highly motivated and dedicated research assistant to lead and develop an innovative project investigating the novel roles of kinetochore proteins in brain development. The project builds on a pioneering discovery that shows kinetochore proteins, traditionally involved in chromosome segregation during cell division, also have a cell division‑independent function during neurodevelopment.

Responsibilities include working across

C. elegans and human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC) models, employing genetics, fluorescence microscopy, quantitative image analysis and biochemistry to address questions at the intersection of cell division biology and neuroscience.

Qualifications
  • Degree in neuroscience, cell biology, or related field.
  • Experience in cell culture and/or biochemical techniques.
  • Familiarity with genetics, fluorescence microscopy, and quantitative image analysis is preferred.
