Senior Research Nurse Band 6 (x2 posts) – 36 hours

Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility, RIE – 1 post at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, 1 post at Western General Edinburgh

About the Facility

Edinburgh’s Clinical Research Facility (CRF) incorporates The Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility at the WGH, the RIE Clinical Research Facility, Lothian Commercial Research Delivery Centre and Children’s Clinical Research Facility at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. Together they provide a streamlined service to investigators of all disciplines to conduct clinical research efficiently and safely.

Role

Research nurses play a vital role in the delivery of NHS Lothian’s Research and Development objectives through the coordination of studies, management of research data and the delivery of specialist nursing care required as part of the studies. Responsibilities include delivering direct and indirect care and associated data collection for research studies undertaken in the CRF, in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, ensuring the effective running of research studies on a day‑to‑day basis while maintaining clinical, staff and research governance.
