ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity for a Principal Scientist in Structural Biology to join a leading scientific services provider focused on delivering innovative solutions in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and research sectors. Based in the UK, our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead client projects, develop the service portfolio, and mentor scientific colleagues within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. This senior, laboratory-based role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge structural biology techniques such as X-ray Crystallography and Cryo-EM.

You will play a vital part in supporting discovery and development programs, driving scientific excellence, and shaping the future of structural biology services.

• Lead client projects in structural biology, ensuring the delivery of high-quality scientific output and strategic guidance.
• Contribute expert insight into X-ray Crystallography, Cryo-EM, and related techniques to support project success.
• Mentor and support the development of junior scientists and colleagues across the team.
• Support the introduction of new technologies and scientific innovations to enhance capabilities.
• As the Principal Scientist, you will drive scientific excellence and foster collaborative working across multidisciplinary teams.

• A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).
• Proven hands-on experience with X-ray Crystallography, Cryo-EM, and associated structural biology techniques.
• Experience leading scientific projects within a CRO, biotech, pharma, or academic environment and understanding the expectations of external stakeholders.
• Strong data interpretation skills and the ability to present scientific findings clearly.
