I'm working with a respected multidisciplinary environmental consultancy looking to strengthen its Archaeology & Heritage team with an experienced consultant who wants to work on varied, meaningful projects across the UK.
From major infrastructure and renewable energy developments to historic buildings, landscapes and protected monuments, you'll help ensure the past is considered in the projects shaping our future.
What will you be doing?
Producing heritage assessments, desk-based studies, technical reports and environmental statement chapters.
Advising on planning applications, heritage consents and the potential impact of development.
Designing and overseeing archaeological fieldwork and site investigations.
Working with planners, heritage specialists, local authorities and project teams.
Managing projects, preparing fee proposals and supporting business development.
Sharing your knowledge and helping develop more junior members of the team.
What are we looking for?
Experience delivering archaeological and heritage assessments.
Strong report-writing skills and a sound understanding of UK heritage legislation and planning.
Experience managing projects, deadlines and client expectations.
Confidence communicating with stakeholders and collaborating across disciplines.
A relevant degree or equivalent, with CIfA and/or IHBC membership, or a willingness to work towards accreditation.
A full UK driving licence.
Experience in areas such as built heritage, historic landscape assessment, Scheduled Monument surveys, GIS or geoarchaeology would be a bonus.
Why consider it?
Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working across environmental, engineering and heritage projects, with opportunities to develop your technical expertise, mentor colleagues and progress your career.
Expect a supportive working culture, professional development opportunities and the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.
