We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all offerings
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely serving of meals
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health regulations
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
- Uphold high standards of hospitality through excellent service delivery
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a gastropub setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and motivation
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
