The Manor Arms Inn is seeking a skilled, ambitious, and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and help drive our two‑rosette operation forward.

Nestled in the charming village of Abberley, The Manor Arms Inn is a destination food‑led pub with rooms. Our kitchen focuses on fresh, modern cooking with everything made in‑house, blending refined technique with approachable, seasonal menus.

The venue has undergone significant refurbishment across the restaurant, bar, bedrooms, and grounds, and continues to build its reputation as one of the area’s strongest dining destinations.

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Culinary leadership:Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining two‑rosette standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Menu development:Contributing ideas and creativity to seasonal menu development, specials, and event menus.
  • Team management:Training, mentoring, and motivating junior chefs, helping to build a positive, professional kitchen culture.
  • Kitchen operations:Supporting stock control, ordering, GP management, and kitchen organisation.
  • Health & safety:Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
  • Service & events:Assisting in delivering smooth, high‑quality service, including weddings and private events.
